What it shows
When the lightning rod on Ben Franklin's thunder house is connected to ground, it is protected from "lightning" generated by the Wimshurst machine. When the grounding cord from the lightning rod is removed, the electricity hits the cup of gunpowder connected to the lightning rod, and the house is blown apart!
